How does it work?
Screw pump works on the principle of a rotating screw in an inclined gutterwhich slowly and efficiently raises the water. Thanks to low revs is friendly to biological material, reliably handles even water with solid particles and does not require pre-selected combs. Self-regulating flow according to water level ensures constant efficiency, long service life and minimal maintenance requirements. The drive is provided by an electric or diesel engine.

Installation options
Steel chute
By using a steel chute, the service life of the pump is extended compared to a concrete chute. This concept ensures a perfect fit of the auger pump in the gutter, resulting in maximum efficiency. The steel chute is pre-assembled in our factory.

In this type, the concrete gutter is molded by the auger pump itself.

Compact and semi-compact type
The compact type has a self-supporting gutter with an integrated power unit. The semi-compact type has a drive located in the engine room. This is a very simple installation with low construction costs. The whole unit is pre-assembled and transported in whole to the installation site.

It is similar in its advantages to the compact type, but it is fully enclosed, pre-assembled and transported whole to the place of assembly.

Lower bearing (Eco-lower bearing)
The lower bearing ensures the stability of the auger in harsh environments. It must withstand high loads, be reliably sealed and lubricated. Patented solution Eco—lower bearing Spaans Babcock uses a closed lubrication system that protects the bearing and the environment, minimizes the risk of breakdowns and reduces maintenance requirements.

Serviceability
The bearing has a closed lubrication system and therefore does not require a lubrication head or lubricant replenishment, the ERGO Guard protective cover is lightweight and easy to remove if needed. The inner parts of the bearing can be replaced independently without the need to change the entire bearing — both the base and the protective cover can be used repeatedly.
Maximum uptime and reliability
The bearing is equipped with a unique shaft system, which ensures long bearing life and high availability of worm pump.
Lower operating and investment costs (OPEX & CAPEX)
Thanks to the absence of a lubrication pump, there are savings in investment costs. Due to the absence of a power unit for the lubrication pump, the absence of the need for replenishment of lubricant, operating costs are reduced. Minimal bearing wear significantly reduces unplanned downtime and total maintenance costs.

Thanks to its slow rotation, the worm pump reliably handles water with solid particles, has a service life of over 50 years and requires minimal maintenance — ideal for wastewater treatment and irrigation. The centrifugal pump is suitable for clean liquids and higher traffic heights, but it is noisier, more sensitive to impurities, and its service life is significantly shorter.

For maximum uptime, we offer a reliable monitoring system, suitable even for low-speed machines. It provides up-to-date data on the condition of bearings and the power unit, and in addition to continuous monitoring, it also allows for a variant with intermittent monitoring.
